Oh Ireland by the sea

Oh Ireland by the sea
how lucky you are too be
dig a well on Sunday
and maybe one day
your luck will rub off on me

Oh Ireland by the sea
bring my true love to me
by a rusty car or bus or train
o'er near the shore with wind and rain
'tis where he'll come to me

Oh Ireland by the sea
the journey is long you see
for in Ireland lies a long sojourn
on the path 'tis much to be for warned
to bring my true love to me

Oh Ireland by the sea
Will he ever come for me?
Tho the journey's long
I shall guide him along
with a tune and a tambourine

Oh Ireland by the sea
On the cliff of the Castle called sea
where I wait for the one who will be my love
when he comes on bended knee

Oh Ireland by the sea
with a claddagh ring on the foot of dove
that he brought as a present for me
'tis the perfect gift and symbol of love
and no more did I want from he

for he is my one true love
I and him, him and me

Oh Ireland by the sea....
